Full-Servo Strapping Machine Auto-Setting: 9-Axis Servo Tension Control

The AMB 1500 S/T inline automatic PP strapping machine uses 9-axis full-servo auto-setting technology to keep strap tension consistent. Operators simply select a size on the touch panel and the machine sets itself up automatically, strapping corrugated box bundles to the same quality every time.

How Full-Servo Auto-Setting Improves Strapping Quality

When corrugated box bundles are strapped with PP band, shipping quality depends on whether the strap goes on with the same force every time. If tension varies, bundles can end up loose or boxes can be crushed by straps that are too tight. JS SYSTEM's AMB 1500 S/T inline automatic PP strapping machine solves this problem with full-servo auto-setting technology.

The AMB 1500 was the first machine in Korea to use full-servo automatic control with auto-setting. Servo motors drive each motion directly instead of pneumatics, so the machine moves exactly as programmed.

Precision Control Distributed Across 9 Servo Axes

All 9 axes of the AMB 1500 are servo-driven. A dedicated servo axis controls each motion in the strapping cycle, so every axis moves to its set position with its set force. All axes work together under a single control system, so motion stays precise even at high speed.

Consistent Strapping Through Servo Tension Control

Tension is servo-controlled too. With pneumatic systems, pulling force can change with supply pressure or cylinder condition. Servo control holds tension at the commanded value. As a result, every bundle can be strapped consistently, even at a high speed of 28 cycles per minute.

Size Changeovers With a Single Touch-Panel Selection

Box plants switch between many box sizes during production. With manual machines, an operator has to adjust the machine by hand at every size change. On the AMB 1500, the operator selects a size on the touch panel and the 9 servo axes set themselves up automatically. This cuts setup time by 10–30 minutes compared with manual methods and reduces variation caused by differences in operator skill.

Why Auto-Setting Matters

Settings are reproduced by servo control, not by an operator's feel. That means strapping quality stays the same even when box sizes change.

Built for Long-Lasting Precision

Direct servo drive improves durability as well as precision. Because there are no air leaks or cylinder wear as in pneumatic machines, minor breakdowns are rare. Korea's first overload-prevention control system adds to this, supporting stable long-term operation. Customers can choose the model that fits their site: the side-feed S model, which connects to an existing line, or the standalone top-feed T model. After-sales service is handled by the manufacturer's own engineers, who designed and built the machine.

We build it, and we stand behind it to the end.
