The Era of High-Mix, Low-Volume Production: Flexibility in Banding Settings
Factories that produce corrugated boxes often ship boxes of multiple specifications in turn on a single line. Since the same equipment must alternate between binding large box bundles and small box bundles, how quickly and accurately you can change the binding settings determines productivity. The AMB 1500 S/T inline automatic PP banding machine offers multiple banding modes designed with this high-mix, low-volume environment in mind.

Individual Banding Mode: Tailored to Each Box Bundle
Among the four banding modes, the individual banding mode adjusts binding conditions for each box bundle one by one. The size, binding position, and tension of each bundle can be set individually, making it especially suitable for low-volume production lines where specifications change frequently.
Instead of having an operator make manual adjustments every time, as with pneumatic equipment, the full-servo 9-axis auto-setting automatically aligns each axis to the conditions of the selected mode. This reduces variation due to operator skill level and maintains consistent binding quality even in low-volume, high-mix production.

Specification Switching via Touch Panel, Full-Servo Auto-Setting
The biggest burden each time specifications change is setup time. With the AMB 1500 S/T, selecting the relevant specification on the touch panel automatically realigns all 9 axes, saving roughly 10–30 minutes of changeover time compared to manual adjustment.
Tension is also servo-controlled, so uniform binding force is maintained across every bundle even when modes are changed. The high-speed processing rate of 28 cycles per minute carries on unchanged after a mode switch.

A Line That Never Stops: Even with Frequent Specification Changes
On the shop floor, it is common for specifications to change several times a day. By registering the binding conditions suited to each product in advance using the individual banding mode, you can ship continuously by simply switching modes without stopping the line. The side-feed S model connects inline to an existing line, while the top-feed T model can be placed independently, so it can be applied flexibly to match the factory layout and production method.
Optimized for High-Mix, Low-Volume
Tailor conditions to each bundle with the individual banding mode, switch instantly via the touch panel, and bind corrugated box bundles without a hitch.
