Emergency Stop Response Guide: Emergency Handling and Button Check
Because productivity and repeat precision are critical in automatic banding equipment, an immediate stop response system is even more important in emergency situations. JS SYSTEM's AMB 1500 S/T is an Automatic Inline Strapping Machine that supports an operating speed of 28 cycles per minute and various banding modes. To operate high-speed automated equipment like this safely, all operators must first verify the location of the emergency stop button and be fully familiar with the standard response procedure to follow in the same order when abnormal operation occurs. In particular, equipment equipped with Korea's first full-servo automatic control auto-setting and Korea's first overload-prevention control system requires clear operating habits that distinguish normal operation from emergency stop.
Pre-checking is the key to emergency stop
If you start looking for the button after an emergency occurs, the response may be delayed. Before starting the equipment, first check the location of the emergency stop button closest to the working position and make sure it can be reached immediately within the operator's movement path. Since this equipment handles boxes up to 1500 x 1300(mm), visibility may vary depending on box size and loading condition, so checking before every shift is necessary.
Before operation, the operator must first check the location of the emergency stop button and the access path to it.
If abnormal noise, jamming, box transfer imbalance, or banding defects occur, execute an emergency stop immediately.
After the equipment has come to a complete stop, do not forcibly or arbitrarily operate the power supply 220V, 50/60Hz and pneumatic pressure 4–6 kg/cm² conditions; inspect them according to the inspection procedure.
First record in which mode the issue occurred: dual banding, single banding, eccentric banding, or auto-setting.
After identifying the cause of the abnormality, operation must be resumed only with responsible personnel approval or according to the designated restart procedure.
Highest speed in the industry
The higher the operating speed, the clearer the emergency response standard must be.
LS domestic servos
Stable control is possible based on full-servo automatic control.
Energy savings
Efficient operation is possible based on power consumption of 4 kW.
Designed and manufactured in Korea
A comprehensive response system is in place through in-house development, manufacturing, and after-sales one-stop service.
Emergency stop response does not end with simply pressing a button. Considering the equipment dimensions of 2100 x 2600 x 1900(mm) and weight of approximately 1,500 kg, the operator must carefully assess access around the equipment even after it stops. In addition, because it supports a wide range of box sizes from a minimum of 400 x 200 to a maximum of 1500 x 1300(mm), pinch-risk areas and blind spots may vary depending on the size of the product being processed. Therefore, before operation, confirming emergency button accessibility based on the operating position, box input position, and discharge direction is a fundamental part of safe operation.
| 항목 | Situation | Response Standard |
|---|---|---|
| Before normal operation | Check button location | Verify whether it can be accessed immediately from the working position |
| Abnormal signs detected | Stop immediately | Respond without delay in case of transfer abnormalities, banding abnormalities, or noise |
| Inspection after stop | Check condition | Check the conditions of power supply 220V, 50/60Hz and pneumatic pressure 4–6 kg/cm² |
| Before restart | Identify cause | Inspect the mode in which the problem occurred and working conditions before restarting |

The AMB 1500 S/T is equipment designed with adjustable box transfer and banding speed, aiming for excellent banding tension and stable banding performance. However, no matter how excellent the control performance of the equipment may be, safety is completed through the operator's repeated inspections. Under the principle that those who build it take responsibility to the end, JS SYSTEM provides in-house development, manufacturing, and after-sales one-stop service. In the field, standardizing the emergency stop procedure is just as important as performance figures, and the actual level of safety can only be maintained when all operators can respond in the same order.
